The Marines’ Memorial Association & Foundation Scholarship Program for Academic Year 2024-25 is over. Thanks to all the applicants for their submissions. We will award over $120,000 in scholarships for the 2024-25 academic year! Our Program recognizes and supports exemplary students that further our mission to Commemorate, Educate, and Serve. The Program continues to emphasize financial need and ensure scholarships are awarded to the most talented students who require extra financial assistance to realize their education dreams.
The selection process was based on scholastics, personal achievements, financial need, a 250-500 word writing prompt, and one (1) letter of recommendation, and “Headshot” photo.
Cold War Veterans Scholarship
Three (3) $2,500 Cold War Veterans Scholarships are available this year. Established by Walter and Bonnie Leach, this scholarship acknowledges Veterans for their peacetime service. Walter Leach, a Cold War era Marine Veteran, joined the US Marine Corps in 1959 and served for four-and-a-half years. Following his end of active service, he studied Civil Engineering at Cal Poly, Pomona. To be eligible, applicants must:
- Plan to attend a full-time accredited Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM)undergraduate university/college program during the 2024-2025 school year
- Be an active member of the Marines’ Memorial or a child or grandchild of an active member
