      • 2022 Annual Report
        • We are excited to announce the release of the Marines’ Memorial Association & Foundation Annual Report 2022 – where we celebrate our collective impact and share stories of transformation from the past year. As a valued supporter of the Marines’ Memorial Association & Foundation, we want to share this report with you and express our sincere gratitude for your continued support.

Despite the challenges faced in 2021, we are proud to say that with your support, we were able to achieve great things. The work in our three pillars – Commemorate, Educate, and Serve – helped increase our commitment to veterans, active-duty members, and their families. None of this was possible without the unwavering support of our donors and community members.

This year’s annual report includes highlights of our programs, financial statements, and a special section on the impact of our work during the last year. We want to share with you how your support made a real and lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Employee Scholarship Program:

Who can apply?

Employees* of Marines’ Memorial, their children and grandchildren, who are in
accredited undergraduate, graduate, vocational or associate’s programs for the
2023-2024 school year are eligible to apply!

*hourly/non-exempt and operations managers

Can I fill out the application for my child?

No, please give your child the information or a paper application to apply for themselves.

I have two children who will be in college next year. Can both apply?

Yes! There is no limit to the number of children in a family who can apply, as long as they fit the criteria.

My child has a full scholarship. Can they still get a Marines' Memorial scholarship?

Scholarship funds are intended to be put towards “educational expenses,” and award checks will be made out to the school, not the scholarship recipient. Please speak with the school’s financial office and see if they can accept any additional scholarship funds with this in mind. We can send a letter to the school indicating the purpose of the scholarship. (MGy JJ Banks can walk you through this!)

I'm not sure which school I will go to next year. Can I still apply?

Yes. In your application, list the school you are most likely to go to. In the case that you are selected for a scholarship and your school choice changes before the checks are put together in August, talk with MGy JJ Banks or HR about adjusting the check. The school must be accredited for you to receive the scholarship.

My school program does not relate to the work I do at Marines' Memorial. Can I still apply?

Yes! Your major or program of choice does not need to relate to your existing job at Marines’ Memorial.

What amount can I expect in a scholarship award?

Awards will be $1,000 or slightly larger, depending on the number of applicants for the year.
