- My wife and I stopped in for lunch on our return from Eclipse Land in the Adirondacks. We had good lunch in the Tap Room, quite reasonably priced. There was no problem with access, and parking was convenient. The main club house is very ornate inside, high Victorian gothic in contrast to the retrained Georgian exterior. The dining areas were busy but not crowded. If you are in the area, and want an oasis, or just to gawk at the interior, stop in. Note, we did not stay overnight, but it seemed the club had many overnight visitors. Also, take note of the dress code. It's not the West Coast, or even the Yale Club in NYC. Jackets are required, and silk suits fit in well.
- Posted on September 28, 2018 at 5:16pm - Very nice club as a travel stop over. Nice old building and vintage decor. - Paul Griffith
- Posted on June 18, 2018 - We had the pleasure to visit this club. It's within a block of the state capitol and only 70 miles from the Baseball Hall of Fame (our reason for going). Our experience there was outstanding and we were treated well at every opportunity. If you are ever in the area I highly recommend the Fort Orange Club. - Randy Baxter

- My wife and had a lovely dinner at this historic club in Buffalo. It was a wonderful evening; setting, food, and service were outstanding. The general manager was kind enough to give us a guided tour of the facilities. The club building is on the national registry of historic buildings in the U.S. Highly recommend.

- We had the lovely opportunity to visit the Harvard Club for dinner in June 2024. My wife and I, along with our two boys (10,12), attended the Lion King performance in the afternoon (Times Square area) and walked over to the club (8 minutes). It was a world of difference as we walked out of the heat and crowds of people into the club. I had emailed them earlier in the week, and they had a 7-day pass waiting for me at the front. We toured the three different eating areas (outdoor balcony on the 9th floor, casual dining room, or formal dining room. We decided to eat in the former dining room as it also offered the opportunity to read the historical tributes around the room. It was a 5-star dinner and a history lesson for our boys. The food and service were top-notch. What a phenomenal benefit of the Marine Memorial Club.
- I have used the reciprocal membership for multiple visits to the Harvard Club for breakfasts, drinks, and dinners and have always been very quickly welcomed to the Club. I also looked into staying overnight but found less expensive rooms at the Yale Club just a couple blocks away. Beautiful building, great location, and very friendly staff - not to mentioned great food. Highly recommend it!
- Great club, great staff. Lovely art collection, delicious dining options and great drinks.
- Posted on October 8, 2018 at 10:08pm - Short visit to the HCNY on 10/7/2018. No fee to enter the clubhouse. A printed letter of introduction helps, but the email will suffice. Passes are good for one week, no limit on number of passes per year. Rooftop dining room and bar: $7 beers, $10-$20 appetizers and salads, $20-$30 main courses. VERY clean and nice view. Staff: VERY polite, and friendly. Gym / locker-room use is $15 per day. - JWH

- My husband and I stayed at NYAC in August 2023, and thoroughly enjoyed their beautiful facility. We were in a renovated Queen room (1810) with a partial view of the park. This has to be the best deal in all of Manhattan! Unfortunately due to ongoing renovations, some of the floors were closed, but the gym facilities were open and we enjoyed drinks at their beautiful rooftop bar, the Solarium. Reservations are recommended although we arrived right when they opened and had no trouble getting a table outside. We will be back.
- Not accepting reciprocal members for meals, unless they’re staying overnight. Seems this is due to Covid but hasn’t changed as of 16 April 2022 when my son and I tried to go in for dinner.
- Posted on 7/24/2019 - The entry fee to use the clubhouse is $15 per 24 hour period, or $50 for a week. Gym, locker room, squash courts, etc cost extra. Billiards are free and open until late. The tap room is the less formal dining area and has decent country-club grill type options. The solarium is open on week nights during the summer and offers an amazing view of Central Park. Entrees are in the mid $20 range and drinks reasonable relative to the surrounding area. Collared shirt, tucked into slacks, and no sneakers for men. This club is popular and is heavily used by members. Enjoy! - John H
- Posted on 4/30/19 - My daughter and I stayed at the NYAC in April. I can't imagine how our stay could have been better. The service is impeccable, the rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, the location can't be beat, the facilities are top-notch, and the building/decor is lovely. Service: greeted coming and going as if we were members; gently recommended upgraded room which was much appreciated. Rooms: everything we needed (coffee service, real cream already in the refrigerator, nice robes, plenty of room, lovely views, comfortable beds). Location: there's not a better place to stay in the City. Easy access to nearly every subway line. Right on the park for walks up to the museums. Facilities: great equipment, lovely changing rooms, adequate-sized pool for lap swimming. - Kristin Ballinger
- Posted on November 11, 2018 - The NYAC was everything I expected - based on other reviews and their website - and more. The service, the ambiance, the decor, and the food were all superb. A great location and perfect respite from the hustle and bustle of the City. - Sandra McGee
- A wonderful and inspiring institution - especially for those with any sort of connection to the world of athletic competition. More USA Olympic Champions are probably members of the NYAC than any other organization. Must be comfortable with their dress code; compared to California, they take it seriously. (Perhaps that's why my wife and I stay here so often).
- Having stayed at many reciprocal clubs NYAC has to be my favorite. Located on Central Park this beautiful facility employs only the most gracious staff. We were always treated as family. Exercise facilities including pool featured in Mad Men are complete and well maintained. Dining room is elegant and frugal for NY. From tap room bar you can see the comings and goings of the park. The hotel is within walking distance of the theater district and adjacent to Carnegie Hall. There is a strict dress code which I feel adds to the decor. I have stayed there three times and cannot wait to return
- Stayed at the NYAC for four days in the middle of September. We had several rooms as my children and grandchildren had come from Singapore and Washington DC. The staff was superb in all respects and made the stay very comfortable. Ms. Taylor's comments above describe the house well. On Central Park South, the NYAC is situated to provide easy access to all of downtown Manhattan. One thing, the dress code is published and adhered to, be prepared. All told the NYAC is a great place to stay in New York, and the accommodations and staff are absolutely first class.
- The NYAC was a wonderful experience. The staff was most helpful. On most Saturday nights in the Main Dining Room, there is a live band for dancing. My wife and I had a wonderful dinner and danced for hours. We plan on returning for Valentine's weekend.
- This club is housed in an elegant period building facing New York's Central Park. There is a large classic, formal dining room, large informal bar and cocktail lounge; a small elegant bar and lounge on the first floor, all with lovely views of Central Park. The menu is American, appropriate to the area served -prime rib is the specialty. There is sports tv in the informal bar and quiet dinner music in the formal room.

- My wife and I have stayed at the Yale Club twice. Wonderful location, great staff, I can highly recommend.
- My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Yale Club over Thanksgiving. It was perhaps our fourth or fifth stay there so we clearly enjoy the ambiance and service. There were many families staying at the club for the holiday, which was nice to see. There was one glitch. Apparently, the Marines Memorial Club sends an “ecard” as a letter of introduction. The Yale Club did not (or cannot) receive the letter in that format. It was a hassle trying to resolve it. Hence, if you stay at the club, it might be wise to bring a hard copy of the letter of introduction until the matter is sorted out.
- Kindest and most professional staff I have ever met outside of our own at the Marine Memorial! Polite and helpful, from checkin to checkout, the best boutique hotel I have have ever stayed in NYC. Amenities were incomparable from the bars, game room, sitting rooms, library and restaurant, all of the food and drinks were wonderful in quality, quantity and price. Upgraded to a suite so that I could have business meetings, suite rate was less that and finer than those of plain rooms at nearby luxury hotels. Located across the street from Grand Central Terminal and a short walk to everything! Don't miss this one if you find yourself in NYC.
- Posted on August 29, 2018 - Had a breakfast in the Tap room upstairs with some friends and it was very nice. - Patick C.
- Posted on April 9, 2017 at 9:29am - "Fantastic Club. The food is exceptional and the amenities are excellent. Very fair prices too….for NYC. The staff are extremely courteous and polite. There is no tipping here." - Oliver B Spencer
- While visiting NY for six day my wife and I decided to vist a number of Recipical Clubs there to see what they were like, due to the fact that we will now be visiting NY at least a couple of times a year and might want to stay or eat at a club. The Yale Club was the second we visited and had lunch. We found the club to be excellent. The staff and personnel were curtious, friendly, polite and prompt to serve us. the lunch was excellent. It was an excellent experiance and they gave my wife a tour. I would highly recommend it!
- I hope to return to the Yale Club. The location is excellent. The staff is welcoming and pleasant. The room was comfortable. A Restaurant is available and had a nice breakfast buffet. The value is there.
- My wife and I recently spent several very pleasant days at the Yale Club. The location, right next door to Grand Central station, is excellent for getting aroung the city using the subway. And there are several excellent restaurants within walking distance, although the food served in the club is excellent. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is very welcoming. All in all, an excellent place to stay while in the most exciting city on the planet

- Posted on May 4, 2018 at 1:06 am - Enjoyed dinner at the Cornell Club on a cold Tuesday night in April. It was everything you'd expect a NYC private club to be - wood panels, a spacious bar with friendly staff, and a formal dining room with good food at VERY reasonable (for NYC) prices. Literally two blocks from Grand Central. Can't say enough about the staff - very attentive, focused on making your stay a good one. - Jeffrey Hilliard
