  1. Posted on 7/16/2019 - My son lives in Charlotte, so this is the 3rd or 4th time I've visited this club. Each time improves on the previous great experience. They treat me (and any guests) like actual members. My son and I met a flight school buddy and his wife (who've lived in CLT for 20+ years but had never been in this club). What a great time we had. Anyway..... You cannot go wrong visiting this place. - Jack McGonagle (Maj. USMCR)(RET)
  2. Posted on 2/26/2019: The Charlotte City Club couldn't have been more accommodating or provide a better visitor dining experience if they tried. They greeted me as if I were a member, and the wait staff couldn't have been more attentive. GREAT food, great atmosphere, they have a cigar room with a pool table, and the bar/restaurant areas are "classic". I look forward to a return visit. - Jack McGonagle
  3. My wife and I had a very nice dinner at this downtown club. Great views of the city. Outstanding food and service.

  1. This club is a gem. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chicago. It's a small 22 room hotel on the 40th floor in the financial district. The rooms have been recently freshened and are very nice. You are in a great location for restaurants, sight-seeing and business. The staff is great and I will make sure I return to this club when I am in Chicago again.

  1. HEADS UP: Be sure to schedule some time to take in the amazing art that is scattered throughout the club. You may also schedule Art Tours with the curator. The library is wonderful and the bar at Rendezvous was great. Members and staff were very friendly and I felt like a longtime member. Front desk staff isn't the greatest, but the get the job done. And ladies, you can get a manicure on the 22nd floor for $19! Love this club.
  2. I am a member of Union League of Philadelphia. I will be in Chicago from 6/5--6/8--3 nights, with my daughter for a family event. We will need two rooms, nearby if possible, but not necessary. Would you kindly advise me of availability and rates? Thank you.
  3. Stayed here for 4 days / 3 nights while attending a conference in Chicago ---- I cannot wait to return and stay once again in the Union League Club of Chicago .... Simply OUTSTANDING. The Athletic facilities were top notch; the food was fantastic and the ambiance was superb ..... the art work in their beautiful club was astounding. This club is very patriotic and a strong supporter of our military ---- Highly recommended to visit!!!
  4. I have stayed twice at the Union League Club of Chicago and the club is very nice and well run. They have recently (2014) renovated their bar and the associated restaurant to a very high standard and the location is very convenient to the downtown area.
  5. I visited on two occasions in 2014 and both times were top notch. The Club's stunning bar/restaurant Rendezvous has recently reopened after a multi million $ renovation. Location is very good and the service excellent. A wonderful reciprocal club and I would highly recommend it to all of my fellow Marine Memorial Association members.
  6. June, 2014 I spent 3 weeks at the Union League Club in Chicago on a business trip and found the Club to be a first class Club. Located in the downtown Loop financial district, I enjoyed the suite, the dining rooms, the renovated bar, the athletic facilities, etc. The staff made my stay feel like a home away from home. Highly recommended. Jordan Bradley
  7. I have stayed at the Union League Club of Chicago numerous times. It is a first rate club and is located in the heart of the city which makes it very convenient for any business or activities in the downtown area. Food is good, bar is great, and the staff is very professional. An outstanding venue and I recommend it to all my Marine Memorial Association colleagues.
  8. Superb paintings! Which is the kind of information and facts which are supposed to be contributed around the web. Waste within the search engines like google with no longer placement this particular offered greater! Can happen over in addition to consult with my personal web page. Thanks a lot Means)
  9. I visited the Union League of Chicago in December 2011. Although I did not stay overnight, I had lunch at the Carvery Restaurant, used the library and business center, and toured the fitness center, indoor pool, main dining room, and bedrooms. The Union League of Chicago is first-rate. It is a club with a proud tradition and high standards and it shows. The club has a strong patriotic ethos; for example, it sponsors an American Legion chapter and supports several activities for military members. The Union League is a superb reciprocal club with a convenient downtown Chicago location.

  1. Another excellent visit to the University Club. This time for dinner on the Gallery. Unfortunately, it was a rainy evening & we had to dine inside; but after dinner, the rain had stopped & we went outside to enjoy the magnificent view of the lake & Millenium Park. The dinner & the service were again outstanding. Enjoyed the before dinner drinks in the Prsident's Club too. One of my favorite places to enjoy dinner in Chicago. Highly recommend it if you are visiting Chicago.
  2. Outstanding facility & services. It will be my place to stay anytime I'm visiting Chicago in the future. Not that I've stayed there yet, but yesterday, I entertained my family (10 of us) to their Easter brunch and it was truly outstanding, both as regards the food & the service. It is located most conveniently right off Michigan Avenue on Monroe St. right down in the Loop area. The Art Museum is just across the street along w/ Millenium Park, the Hayden Planetarium and the Museum of Natural History (Field Museum) are close by, as well as all the great shopping venues in the downtown area. Their Cathedral Room is most impressive & makes a visit worthwhile in itself. We were scheduled for the brunch on Easter Sunday and we were walking around downtown so the ladies could do their shopping & we were looking fo somewhere to go in and relax for a while. I saw we were near to the club, so I decided to see if their casual lounge was open & could we go there. We spent a most delightful 2 hours in one of their lounges where the service was again premier. I would recommend anyone going to the Chicago area to give it a try.
  3. this is my favorite of the recip clubs in Chicago. Dining at the Cathedral Room(gothic architec 3 story ceilings) is really special. Very accomodating staff. Also, once the Cath Room was booked and they had the Wine Club evening in the Library; very nice and cozy. Wine Club evening brought in a vinter from Calif and had stories about each wine served etc. Have not stayed here but public facilities are nice and location on Mich ave is great.

  1. We contacted the club and were told there would be a $50 reciprocal club fee added to our bill. So we decided to not use this club. We had to provide our reciprocal club introductory letter since they didn't seem to receive it from MMC.
  2. Stopped in for lunch. They added a $25.00 parking fee to the lunch bill.
  3. We stayed at the Queen City Club in Cincinnati for two nights, and were pleasantly surprised that the Presidential Suite was open. What a beautiful room. Bed was very comfortable, and staff very accommodating. Local restaurants close by, and the in-house dining room was excellent. Beautiful building, great art, and a joy to visit. Jon C. Abeles Captain, USNR-Retired
  4. We often stay at QCC and use their facilities when we are in town. Their service is unparalleled and they have a wonderful club. I would recommend a visit to this club for any member!
  5. Queen City Club in Cincinnati was a fantastic setting for our 10 military officer dinner ---- They were fantastic in arrangements via phone. The meal, service and atmosphere was fantastic. Really enjoyed our time at their facility and would recommend a visit here to all! Thanks for ensuring such great reciprocal clubs! Semper FI! Scott K. Rineer, MD MPH CAPT MC(FS/FMF) USN
