  1. Posted on 6/27/2021: I live in LA and needed a place to meet friends from San Diego that was roughly halfway in between, so I picked Balboa Bay Club. Had lunch by myself, worked for a few hours, then met my friends for happy hour. An excellent facility overall. Great location right on the water, wonderful service, and excellent facilities. Private member grill had tasty food and a relaxed environment with just the right amount of space. Free valet and free access to the grill. If you want to use any of the other facilities, there's a $35 day charge (which is well worth it given the free valet). Highly recommend. ~ ML
  2. Posted on April 10, 2017 at 5:46pm - "My wife and two teenage girls visited April 2017. We stayed at the Balboa Bay Resort Hotel at the reciprocal member rate; included free parking and use of Balboa Bay Club facilities in a separate building co-located with the resort (the club has small a separate bar/dining room and great Sunday brunch!).The reciprocal package also included a free bottle of wine (a good one too!) in our room. Club includes workout facilities, steam and sauna (over 18 only). The big beautiful resort pool was under renovation (reopening in May 2017). Kids were allowed to use smaller club lap pool surrounded by a good number of tables with umbrellas and a poolside bar which was a plus. Great visit. Recommended! The service was uniformly attentive and friendly (front desk, valet parking, food service). Mgt. is doing a good job building an customer focused ethic employees all seem to buy into. One single word of caution: your final bill gets loaded up with a myriad of lodging/room taxes so the final total will be much, much higher than the quoted room rate." - Jonathan Mosier
  3. Had an outstanding day at Balboa Beach Club. Spent the afternoon on their private beach and rented a kayak and paddle board. Great food, great location and very friendly staff. Highly recommended!

  1. We stayed at the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club for one night while our grandson sailed in a club regatta. Our room was comfortable, both restaurants were great, and the staff were more gracious and accommodating. Club facilities are outstanding and enjoy an active membership.
  2. Posted on 4/17/19 - Stayed two nights attending a surprise birthday party for my sister. Wonderful setting. Food and staff were terrific! - Dick Daniels
  3. We dined at the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club on August 17, 2013. Staff were very friendly, service excellent and food outstanding. Thank you for allowing us to share.
  4. We stayed at the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club for two nights. The room was nice and the staff was outstanding. They were so warm and welcoming to us, it made us feel like we had been lifelong members of the yacht club. All the facilities were spectacular.

  1. A friend and I enjoyed lunch in the Tap Room. I had "The Chairman" entree salad and my friend had the Catfish sandwich w/ fries, both delicious and filling. The staff was courteous and professional without being over attentive. Adorned with decorations of the season, the club gives you the warm and comfortable feeling of southern hospitality. A great place for a banquet, wedding reception, business event or a just relaxing lunch. Be sure to check the website for additional information and appropriate dress requirements. 1. Posted November 3, 2018 - I sent them a Letter of Introduction to have dinner in their dining room. They courteously acknowledged my request without hesitation. But there is additional information they want you to supply them BEFORE they will CONFIRM your reservation. Just to have lunch or dinner at The Anthenaeum they also require that you FAX to them (in advance) a back and front copy of your drivers license + a back and front copy of your credit card. I do not fax sensitive information like drivers license and credit card to offices and people I do not know. We cancelled our reservation request and instead were welcomed at another equally prestigious local membership club without all the prerequisite documentation. - Gene Glasco
  2. Wonderful club with fine food and a warm ambiance.
  3. A "grand dame" of historic Pasadena. Well appointed rooms, on the small side, but with charm. Very quiet on the weekend with very limited food service. Hospitable staff and excellent location.
  4. The Athenaeum is the CalTech Club and one of the great faculty clubs in the world. Request the Einstein suite.
  5. Exceptional site here! Additionally your website fairly a great deal right up very quick! Precisely what coordinator are you currently the application of? Can one am having your affiliate marketer url in your host? I would like my web site loaded up as speedy while your own property lol
