      • 2022 Annual Report
        • We are excited to announce the release of the Marines’ Memorial Association & Foundation Annual Report 2022 – where we celebrate our collective impact and share stories of transformation from the past year. As a valued supporter of the Marines’ Memorial Association & Foundation, we want to share this report with you and express our sincere gratitude for your continued support.

Despite the challenges faced in 2021, we are proud to say that with your support, we were able to achieve great things. The work in our three pillars – Commemorate, Educate, and Serve – helped increase our commitment to veterans, active-duty members, and their families. None of this was possible without the unwavering support of our donors and community members.

This year’s annual report includes highlights of our programs, financial statements, and a special section on the impact of our work during the last year. We want to share with you how your support made a real and lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.

The Club

  1. Posted on 6/30/19 Whats left to be said about that magical person She works miracles with a smile and sense of humor! This club is on Stephens Green which is the best location in Dublin. Our room was large and spotless. Breakfast is cooked to order. No hotel feel rather your private club. Suggest taking Mary’s Newgrange Tour and one of the jail. - Hank Miller
  2. Posted on August 13, 2017 at 10:44am - "We have nothing but GOOD things to say about the Club and staff. Everything was great, including the location, restaurant and friendliness of every staff member we had the pleasure of encountering. We welcome the opportunity to return as guests!" - Colin Fite
  3. Posted on September 30, 2017 at 6:32pm - "Had drinks and dinner September 15, 2017. Highly recommended. Food, drinks and staff were first rate and the location is superb. We will stay there next time." - George Lennon
  4. Meant to do this earlier since my wife and I stayed here last Sept/Oct. Unfortunately, I got distracted after coming back to the U.S. with a family emergency and forgot to do it. Having now remembered, I wish to post my comments. The Hibernian Club is a wonderful place to stay in Dublin. It's right on St Stephen's Green within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, tour buses, and tourist attractions such as Trinity College. In addition, the rate for a stay also includes a full Irish breakfast and the VAT, so no hidden fees. The Hibernian Club is a funky mid 19th century building with the the wonderful charming quirkiness that you would expect of a building that old. What makes the Club so great, building aside, is its great staff. Very professional, friendly, and accommodating. Particular kudos goes to Bronagh Towler, the front of the house manager. She is a real "fixer." You have a problem, just go to Bronagh. Our luggage was misdirected by our airline and we were having difficulty retrieving it from the airport. Bronagh made a couple calls and quickly got our luggage dispatched to the Club. Otherwise we would've lost valuable sightseeing time having to go all the way out to the airport at the specific hours that baggage claim was open. Also, her recommendations for things to see, restaurants, and tours to take were all spot on. In short, highly recommend and we are looking forward to our next stay when we visit Dublin again.
  5. We spent five nights at the Hibernian Club, with our daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren. During that time, we were joined by family members from England. We arrived with numerous suitcases, bags, etc and the staff and members were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Our rooms were lovely and housekeeping was outstanding. Food and wine were superb, beautifully served in wonderful surroundings. It was a moving experience to stay in such a wonderful place so rich in history. At all times, the staff were excellent especially Branaugh. I was practically impresses as we set off for our long journey at 5.15 am, the grandchildren were offered breakfast and we were offered coffee. Amazing. Thank You
  6. After several emails and even stopping by the club, we thought our room reservation for three nights was in good order. As it turned out, it was not because of an apparent change in personnel and our reservation disappearing. Luckily the club staff was able to work things out -- marching us down the street one block to another historic club, which turned out to be even nicer at lesser cost, with an outstanding, effective and efficient staff, excellent, updated rooms, and a fine pub and dining room. Story with a happy ending!
  7. Have the opportunity to visit Dublin once or twice a year and visited the Club in 2012. The pub and restaurant were fine. Visited again in May 2014 and both facilities have been remodeled and are very nice. With reservations, Thursday -Saturday are best for evening dining. The Club location is ideal (just off Grafton Street across from St. Stevens Green) with delightful hospitality.
  8. I stayed at the Stephen's Green Hibernian Club for four nights in mid-May 2012. The location and rates are excellent for a visit to Dublin. The front Club rooms provide views of the Green and the art hung on the Green fence for sale. The room size of my single was very comfortable with a small ensuite bathroom with sink, toilet, and shower. The bathroom was small, but comparable to other places I've stayed in this neighborhood. In fact, the room size for a single was much better than I've encountered in guest houses in this area. The Club is a historic club, and while there may be some chipped paint on moldings, it is serviceable and even has an aura of past elegance that is attractive in Dublin. The staff was very helpful: when I came by at 0930, hoping to drop off my luggage, the front desk manager sent me up to the reading room to hook into the wifi, and ten minutes later she told me my room was ready, a wonderful surprise for an American arriving on an early morning flight. I ate breakfasts in the nicely furnished dining room with large windows and views of the Green, and had one pub meal and a beer in the Member's Bar. There was a fire in the fireplace, and one other member, a woman, ate at another table. I wish I had taken more meals in the Club. I didn't have dinner in the dining room, but the menu and atmosphere are quite attractive. This isn't the MMC in San Francisco, but it does offer a comfortable (and, in fact, historic) setting in Dublin. There was a tad noise from Saturday night celebrators waiting for cabs at the stand across the street, but probably the back garden rooms are quiet, and I found the view of the artists setting up their work on the Green fence in the morning to compensate for some slight noise drifting up that night. I'd definitely go back again. The Club offers a taste of Dublin most American tourists miss.
  9. The location was wonderful, but we were highly disappointed with our accommodations. The staff was friendly, the dining room suitable though lacking in service, but our room was the real problem. The upkeep, quality of bedding, lighting and wardrobe were less than acceptable. Banging on pipes outside our window before sunup was the clincher. After one night, we moved to The Hilton Hotel.
  10. I stayed at the Hibernian Club in Dublin, Ireland after seeing that it was a reciprocal club of the Marines Memorial Club. Ideally situated at St. Stephens Green in a pricey part of the City, the lower daily rate is attractive. However, the facilities left much to be desired in the way of deferred maintenance and a limited staff was noted. If you don't mind the flusher working only once an hour or so.... If the Marines Memorial Club was like the Hibernian, I would not want to be a member.
