As a young 1st Sgt, I stayed 2 miles at the Marine Memorial Club in Jan 1957 waiting transport to Iwakune Japan & the 1st MAW. Returning in May 1958 was another stay fun! A couple of Thanksgiving dinners, a complementary membership in the elite Balboa Bay Club on Newport Beach was of great use to me in my civilian career. I send a $100 and regret that health issues prevent more. Thank you for your efforts to save a wonderful memorial.
