William was a Marine from 1910 to 1939. He retired in San Francisco, and lived there from 1939 till 1955. He is buried in Golden Gate National Cemetery. I wonder if there are records of his being a member from 1946 to 1955.

I was also a Marine from 1955 to 1959. I went to ETA school at Treasure Island in 1956. I went to the bar on the 4th floor a lot. Louie Gonzalez was the bar tender. I heard that he often went to the 12th floor on Sundays after he retired.

I was discharged as a Sgt(E-4) in San Francisco in 1959 after spending about a year in Iwakuni, Japan.

I would like to hear anything about William. He was my 1st cousin once removed.
