Joseph L. Galloway is a Bronze Star Medal Recipient, War Correspondent, Author and a Special Consultant to the Vietnam War 50th Anniversary Commemoration run out of the Office of Secretary of Defense. On September 17, 2017, PBS will air a Ken Burns / Lynn Novick documentary, "The Vietnam War" in which Joe was a consultant. Joe Galloway co-authored two books with Lieutenant General Harold Moore, "We Were Soldiers Once… And Young", which was a best-selling book in 1992 and then in 2008, they released a sequel "We Are Soldiers Still: A Journey Back to the Battlefields of Vietnam".
